hmmm.. the net in the ofc is still cut off and i wrote this last week, and even tho its late im posting. haha..(pag nabalik n net ko bawi ako s posts.. :))
November 1saturday, amidst the heavy crowd in the bus terminal I struggled to go home. Just to say I had a break. Its been really busy in the ofc these past days since the BIG day before our system goes live( live- pertaining to the system being launched replacing the old legacy system). Almost all the peeps in the ofc want a break even for just a while, though were all forbidden to take a leave at least im just from bulacan its just a hours away from manila giving me the luxury of spending time with relatives in this holiday. Well for me its just rest, rest, rest all im aiming for the week is rest, come next week it’ll be even more harsh in the ofc that any minute error could coz you a teary eyed experience in the ofc. Anyways back to the terminal, here I am carrying a bag loaded with laundry and just a few pasalubong for my pamangkins, seeing the line go from an organized to a pitiful sight, there’s no systematic way that all the peeps here are all wanting to go home as soon as they can. There the line just go longer and longer its like a never ending wait till you get to sit at the bus. Me well I actually waited in line for about 30mins and after that my patience is wasted and I just opt to just rush in front when the conductor offers slot for those who’d want to stand. Luckily I quickly caught a bus. Coincidently I found RJ, one of my barkadas back in college. We’re both relieved that we could go home then.
We did the usual kamustahan chit chats. We just kept talking bout nonsense like back in college. Back then we were just the class clowns, he’s a mechanical engineering stud and I a comp eng’g. the professors back then knew us well, since we(barkada) made fun of almost anything even laugh at our own follies. We really didn’t imagine our selves us engineers of the future, all were just for fun. Even some of the professors kept on mocking us that we’ll just be instant engineers if we graduated and that we were no good for this.(the hell with him we will not falter). In college we were always the guys who worked our asses in the back, if something needs a quick fix here we are, if theres no participant for a contest and theres no one to do it, theres always one in the barkada who’ll definitely fit the job. (me, im not for the acads im in the creative forte and networks/hardware). Well those were the days. We did our time. After six pain staking years of studying in college we graduated, since then the barkada only met onece in awhile for we all had our plans laid. RJ is one that ive only seen just now. (miss the group).
“Tabang, tabang jan” says the kundoktor, hearing this gave a signal that we could now take seats! J after having our seats in the back then we talked a little bout work, he showed me what he was doing in his work, he showed me plans..WTH!! he now signs plans?! I said to him “tol engineer n engineer n dating mo ah!” . haha.. never in my wildest imagination that the idea that we be serious in our fields. “kailangan lng pumirma din ako para daw pag di nagtugma mga assessments kasama ko makukulong.. haha” he responded back. Well even if it was just a joke theres no doubt he’s an engineer now(well maybe just pretending,, haha) he says the plans he’s involved in making costs millions. (now this isn’t boasting they do cost millions). Well I the system were workin on cost millions too!(dollars! Haha).
Chatting with RJ I found out that even he has no idea what happened or where the other guys in the group who always go clowning around in school is. Seemingly enough even though we were just taking college in an easy manner only one member of the barkada didn’t finish the engineering course, he’s now a med tech in Canada and even owns his own bar. (See, even if you he didn’t graduated as an engineer he’s even better today). Anyways as far as I know most of the guys in the barkada are now a part of big companies. Well I hope to see the clowns together sometime(this Christmas may be?). clowning is what we did in college and now look at us, the engineered class clowns.. :) We may not be where we want us to be at the moment but we'll be sure to make a mark on what ever endeavors’ we take. we'll be sure to show those who looked down on us and prove 'em wrong. we dont always work on the behind the scenes, this time we'll be the main acts. haha..
